One Dead, Three Hurt In Wreck

PITTSBURGH -- Investigators suspect speed caused a horrific urban accident in Shadyside early Saturday morning.
Police say the driver of the fast moving car and two passengers required emegency treatment at a nearby hospital.
The woman behind the wheel of the other car died at the scene.
The intersection of Centre and Negley Avenues remained closed more than five hours after the violent crash as Pittsburgh Homicide detectives pieced together what caused this fatal wreck.
PITTSBURGH -- Two separate accidents in the early hours of Saturday killed two people and injured three in Pittsburgh.
Around 2 a.m. Christopher Trosky, 23, of Pittsburgh, died in when he lost control of his vehicle, stuck a utility pole and then a wall.
The crash happened at Sawmill Run Boulevard and Lime Street in the West End.
A couple hours later, at 4:15 a.m., a two-car accident killed 30-year-old Jamie Ricker, of Masillon, Ohio, and injured three at South Negley and Center Avenue in Shadyside.
The Ricker's car collided with another car at the intersection, injuring three passengers. The three passengers and Ricker had to be extracted from their vehicles.
The three passengers were taken to the hospital, there names have not been released.

A man was killed in an accident on Route 51 early this morning, and a woman died in an East Liberty crash two hours later.
Christopher Trosky, 23, crashed his car into a utility pole around 2 a.m. this morning near Lewis Street, close to the entrance to the Parkway West.
Jamie Ricker, 30, of Massillon, Ohio died in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Centre and South Negley avenues in East Liberty at around 4:15 a.m. this morning. Three people were injured in that accident.
Police are investigating both crashes.

A man was killed in an accident on Route 51 early yesterday morning, and a woman died in an East Liberty crash soon afterward.
According to the Allegheny County medical examiner's office, Christopher Trosky, 23, crashed his car into a utility pole around 2 a.m. on Route 51 near Lewis Street in Duquesne Heights, close to the entrance to the Parkway West.
In a separate accident moments later, Jamie Ricker, 30, of Massillon, Ohio, was killed when the car she was driving collided with another vehicle at Centre and South Negley avenues in East Liberty around 2:15 a.m. Three other people were injured in that accident.
Mr. Trosky and Ms. Ricker died of blunt force trauma to the head and chest, according to the medical examiner's office.
Police are investigating.
